Thinking about Managing Impulsivity
This means thinking before you speak or act. Reflect back on the week and consider a time when you thought through what you were about to do, thought about the consequences and how it would impact on others. This may be inside or outside of the classroom.
Comment below what this time was and explain how you managed your impulsivity.
A perfect example is Chevy managing the impulse to swing on the door frame, he knows it is disrespecting school property and so now stops and thinks before he does it and then steps away, sometimes it is difficult for him but it's getting less desirable to do now.
I think I managed my impulsivity with Elliott's distractions at times during class. The reason why is because I learnt from the common consequences last week. But still it's difficult to resist though. But that's why we have second thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI think I have managed my impulsivity from talking to my friends to not chatting to them so often. It is very hard not to talk to my friends in class and since last term i have made a big difference even though i love talk to yasmin about noumea since it is only 50 days away.
ReplyDeletei think that i did well in the creating and imagining with the novel wonder. i was predicting things that would not be a normal thing
ReplyDeletei think that i was thinking interdependently during maths working with others in my group to find the answer
